Job description
Applications are invited for the engagement of a contractual Fireman at Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC), an autonomous organisation under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Ghaziabad, through an outsourcing manpower providing agency. Place of posting: Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC), Ghaziabad. Period of engagement: The tenure of contract will be for a period of one year. In case the work and conduct of the staff is not found satisfactory during the contract tenure, the services may be terminated at any time without assigning any reason thereof. Responsibilities
- Respond to fire and emergency incidents promptly.
- Operate and maintain firefighting and rescue equipment.
- Conduct routine fire safety inspections and drills.
- Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and SOPs.
- Assist in rescue and emergency evacuation operations.
- Maintain fire safety equipment and related records.
- Report fire hazards and recommend preventive measures.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Competent Authority.
Required skills
- Knowledge of firefighting equipment and SOPs.
- Fire prevention, emergency response, safety inspections, risk assessment.
- Firefighting equipment maintenance, safety training, incident reporting.
- Ensuring compliance with fire and occupational safety regulations.
Requirements
- Experience: 5 years of experience in fire prevention, emergency response, safety inspections, risk assessment, firefighting equipment maintenance, safety training, incident reporting and ensuring compliance with fire and occupational safety regulations.
